When you sit alone and think of your achievements in your business or career, are you proud of these achievements? Or do you always feel like a fraud when think over your success?

 

Does each successful business deal, promotion or salary raise bring happiness? Or is it accompanied by the fear that your cover will be blown away one day and people will realize that you got lucky to get where you are today?

 

 

If so, you will be surprised to know that you are not alone. A lot of women experience feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy at some point in their profession or area of expertise. This fear or feeling is called Imposter Syndrome.

 

Self-efficacy, on the other hand, is an individual's belief in their innate ability to achieve goals. Albert Bandura defines it as a personal judgment of "how well one can execute courses of action required to deal with prospective situations."
